Second PhD? What happened with your first? :meow:

This is really wonderful though.
For me, my favorite part is the look of the water. I just love how its appearance is this interesting purple-blue, light then shaded, static like water. It almost looks like when you see scenes in movies where there's a stream and rainwater is coming down and bouncing on its surface -- it's much like that. I really love how it also meets up with the dark reflections of the silhouettes trees on the shoreline. There's something about the way they form into one thing that's eerie yet incredibly beautiful.

It's also neat how there seems to be a house across the river or something, and overall just how the trees look here.
I also really enjoy that you captured the sky and the manner of which the clouds move across the blue. I always find it so neat how sunrise and sunset create opposite rainbows in the sky. And this is even mildly apparent here, a few inches about the tree line.
But the clouds are really what make it possible, the dark blues, purples and even light peaches are fantastic.

The only trouble I think this shot has, is that it doesn't seem to be entirely focused on one thing. Now, it's not blurry or anything as far as I can tell, but it doesn't look like it picked a specific point to focus on, to come alive. I also wish there could have been more focus on the water, if not here than in a separate shot, but hey, there's always going to be more opportunities in the world ^^

Overall though, really lovely job!
Good luck in your pursuit as well! ;)
